e-CRAFTS

Fostering local craft and e-commerce for women at risk of social exclusion

September 2025 – February 2028 | Erasmus+ | KA2 | Cooperation Partnership in ADULT| Project n. 2025-1-ES01-KA220-ADU-000352100

AIM

The e-CRAFTS project responds to the need to reduce the social and economic exclusion of women in vulnerable situations through training in digital skills and entrepreneurship in the craft sector. Despite the growth of digital commerce, many women with craft skills face significant barriers to entering the market due to a lack of training in digital tools, the absence of structured support, and economic difficulties in marketing their products.

The results of our research indeed show that 41% of participants need to improve their digital skills to sell their creations online. 29% mentioned that family responsibilities and lack of time are a barrier to their participation in training and entrepreneurship activities.
28% highlighted the lack of training opportunities in entrepreneurship and digital commerce as a key obstacle. These data reinforce the relevance and urgency of the project to address these challenges and provide effective solutions.

AIM

E-CRAFTS aims to empower women at risk of exclusion through training in digital entrepreneurship and e-commerce. The project seeks to improve their digital literacy skills, enhance employment opportunities, and strengthen support networks. Additionally, it promotes social inclusion and the sustainability of the artisanal sector through accessible digital tools.

The project aims to improve employability and economic autonomy for women at risk of exclusion, facilitating their access to
the digital market. Open resources, such as a MOOC and training materials, will be developed for replication in other
contexts. Support networks will be strengthened, and public policies will be influenced to promote female entrepreneurship and digital inclusion in the artisanal sector.

OBJECTIVES

The e-CRAFTS project partnership has the following objectives:

  • Develop training programs in digitization and entrepreneurship
  • Facilitate access to a digital market for women entrepreneurs
  • Reduce structural barriers to digital and economic inclusion
  • Ensure the sustainability of the project and its impact

E-CRAFTS addresses the priorities of adult education, digitization, and accessible learning with concrete and sustainable results. The MOOC and e-commerce platform will facilitate access to new markets, while mentoring and local partnerships will consolidate participants’ businesses. Its sustainability strategy will ensure a lasting impact on the digital and economic autonomy of the beneficiaries.

RESULTS

A MOOC and a digital platform will be developed for training in entrepreneurship and e-commerce. In-person workshops will
be conducted in each country, along with multiplier events and mentoring sessions. Innovative methodologies, such as
project-based learning and self-assessments, will be used. Additionally, support networks will be established with local and
European entities to ensure the project’s sustainability.

The results will be stemming from five Work Packages:

– WP1: Project Management

– WP2: MOOC and training environment

– WP3:e-CRAFTS platform

– WP4:National workshops and testing phase

– WP5: Dissemination, outreach, impact, and sustainability
