“AmI Fit?” – Hackathon in Brussels
From October 6–8, 2025, partners of the “AmI Fit?” project gathered at BeCentral, Brussels, for an engaging Hackathon dedicated to advancing AI literacy and designing innovative training approaches for SMEs and employees across Europe.
Held under the theme “AI literacy in action: A co-creation journey from learner personas to learning frameworks”, the event brought together representatives from all partner institutions for three intensive days of collaboration, creativity, and innovation.
A Hands-On Co-Creation Experience
The Hackathon followed a practical, design-thinking approach — moving from understanding learner needs to shaping concrete learning solutions.
Day 1 focused on developing a human-centered foundation:

Designing trainee personas from the employee perspective

Clarifying training needs from the SME viewpoint

Defining learning goals and outlining the first draft of the training curriculum
Day 2 turned the spotlight on technology and resources:

A session on identifying the right technical solutions,

An evaluation of existing AI literacy resources,

An integration workshop to merge insights into a cohesive framework.
The afternoon featured an inspiring “Data Walk” organized by VUB at FARI’s AI Experience Center — connecting theory with real-world AI applications in an engaging and interactive way.
Day 3 brought all threads together:

Partners collaboratively set the scope and methodology for the upcoming training modules,

and co-designed the AmIFit curriculum framework, aligning technical, pedagogical and practical dimensions.
A Milestone for the AmIFit Project
The Brussels Hackathon marked a significant milestone in the AmIFit journey — translating research and analysis into concrete educational solutions. Through co-creation, dialogue, and shared expertise, the partners took important steps toward building a European framework for AI literacy that empowers individuals and supports SMEs in the digital transition.
