“Care without Borders: Building Inclusion for Romanian Caregivers in Europe”
The Badantes transnational event took place on the morning of 23 June and hosted more than 35 participants from three countries: Romania, Spain, and Italy.
It was the first event of the project and it provided an opportunity to present the project to stakeholders, discuss the progress made so far and present the first result of the project, the booklet that entails voices of Romanian women working in Europe.
During the event, the participants:
- Learned more about the BADANTES project and its objectives.
- Met the partner organizations involved.
- Explored the findings gathered through interviews with the caregivers and desk research.
- Reviewed the newly developed Awareness-Raising Booklet. The booklet explores the challenges faced by Romanian caregivers when entering a new country and what hosting communities can do to enforce integration and advocate for better working conditions.
- Exchanged ideas, experiences and good practices.
CRES would like to thank everyone who attended and contributed to such a dynamic and insightful discussion. The high level of interest and participation made the event successful and valuable.
We are looking forward to the next part of the project which will entail training courses delivered to caregivers in various fields such as psychology and legal rights.
